It's really meaningful as it really tells me the purpose and importance of doing service and learning at the same time. I really find that learning and doing service is two different things that can be done at the same time and makes the service learning project meaningful. They have taught me that a simple such as giving out water bottles can also be meaningful and it enables people to learn from it. In just two days, we have carried out two service learning projects and even though it only takes up some of our time, it proves to let us really think and learn from it. One of them, which is the beach cleaning project, lets us think about why would all those rubbish be there which all leads up to the word ‘connectedness’. This clearly has shown us that every one of us is connected and not only learning has been done but also service to the community. Overall, I think that Mr and Mrs Chua has done a good job to bring us through this workshop and taught us to focus on the needs and do our service learning meaningfully. (:

Jc Edu park taught me alot.
I felt enlightened and refreshed. within the short span of 2 days, we were able to do 2 service learning projects. both helping us to learn or better understand key learning points and morals within the course.

Although the workshop was a tad-bit long, I still felt that it was not a waste of time. When we felt restless, an activity would pop up and get us all going again. thankfully we were not bored to tears!
Overall, I feel that the workshop was worth while and effort.
thank you :)

PS: Cherie here. And yes I like Kimchi:)

I find that the workshop allows me to know better about servive learning and its true meaning. Although the workshop was only for two days, we managed to do two service learning projects. one was the giving of mineral water to the public and another the cleaning of the beach. Both was equally meaningful and interesting.I have learnt loads from this workshop and i will definitely put it to good use. Thanks mr and mrs chua for putting in effort in organising this workshop(:

The two day of service learning is truely a meaningful workshop.Within the two day event I learn how to organise a real service learning(SL).There were two activity I like the most is giving of mineral water and the beach clean up.The giving of mineral water is the most challenging activity that we have to do.Our objective was to give out our mineral water to someone that we don't no.And the BEST part was give it out in hougang point.THEN we can eat our lunch. As for the beach cleaning we learn about interconnected. It is to teach us that every thing is connected through our action.Example the rubbish we throw in to the drain will end up on the beach shore. Although the workshop was a little long,I still thing is very worth it. Kin wee here:)

I find that this workshop had made me know the true importance of service learning. Before the workshop, i wasn't aware that service learning involved so many things to be done. Like, the learning cycle which involves us planning things step by step, and not just get it over and done. Also, those activities that mr and mrs chua had arranged for us, made us know that, there are more than one way to solve the problem. There are still other alternatives rather than just sticking one. Picking up rubbish at the beach, also made us know the term "Connected-ness" even more. This shows that all of us are connected together as one and we can serve the community together as one. Overall, it was a meaningful and helpful workshop.

On the 1st day, it was boring. But slowly, it became enjoyable. It's a meaningful programme which allows us to learn the skills for service learning. I believed everyone of us enojoyed the workshop from that 2 days. Though it's only 2 short days, we've learn how meaningful and how we can help the community. The activity I like most is going to the sembawang beach to do beach cleaning. Even though other school had already picked up but we can see there's still many rubbish. Mr Chua said that rubbish coming from different countries which are connected to us. Not only we must do our part, everyone must do our part. As we are connected to each other as one. Thanks Mr and Mrs Chua. :)

(for instance: SERVICE LEARNING) Within 2 days, we managed to complete 2 service learning projects! its really a great experience as we get contribute to the community and learn from it. The games that we played were also cool! In conclusion, it was enriching. kudos to those who organised it.

I feel that this course was quite enriching. It gave me deeper insight on what service learning should be. It taught me that we must have the heart to serve.

I have learnt the different steps to planning a service learning project, and what is required in each stage. Through the service learning projects that we did during the two days, it demonstrated the whole procedure of planning and executing a service learning project. I also found out more about my management style, which i find quite useful in some ways.

Overall, this course was very meaningful and necessary for all of us.

The programme has benifited most of us. We are now able to define the actual meaning of service learning. As students, this is the opportunity to lend out a helping hand where we still can afford to. Service learning may not be about helping others but the impact it has on our lives. When we reflect on what we do, we are making the world go round.

had learnt the meaning for service-learning & understand that service must be equal to learning. For the past two days, we had already carried out two service-learning. One of the two was to give out mineral water to people that we didn't know and the second one was beach cleaning which we learnt about interconnected.Althought the duration for the workshop was long, we had alot of fun during the games. Thanks to both Mr & Mrs Chua.

I think that this course has taught me quite a number of stuffs. Stuffs like balancing service and learning, not following blindly of what you think others are doing it right, what service learning actually is , and more. (:
But I don’t really like what he speaks about. In another word, don’t really agree. But overall, I find it okay. (:
Appreciate them as they’re nice people. (:

Overall, the workshop had taught me the real skills and meaning of service learning.

Day one, everyone of us was given a task which is to give out water to stranger in Hougang Point. .
This activities let me experience about Service-learning through presenting ourselves.

After Break, was the conflict management style by Mrs Chua.
It help me to know which character I belongs to and let me know my self better.

Day 2, I wasn't Around.

Lastly, I want to thank Mr & Mrs Chua for the guidance. This Course is really meaningful.
